Winter Pretesting Window Opens January 2, 2020.

The use of pretests can help document student gain, along with the observations and measurements conducted directly by the instructor and other local district staff. The window for winter pretesting is January 2nd through January 31st, 2020.

Posttesting Reminders

As a reminder, students must take the posttest on or before April 24th, 2020, to receive a student gain calculation, which LEA must report to the state by June 12th, 2020. CETE is currently considering several options for dealing with repeated non-compliance going forward.

Posttests and field tests will still be available during the winter pretesting window, so it is important to activate the correct test.

Teacher Review Workshops Now Available

WebXam Teacher Review workshops allow career-technical education instructors a formal opportunity to review-rate and comment on finalized WebXam tests (once per cycle of 4-5 years). Teacher Reviews are held in Columbus, Ohio, October through April. More information, including cost and registration, can be found at the link below. The next review will be held January 9th, 2020.

The Ohio Department of Education's CTE Program and Assessment Matrix is designed to help educators identify the tests required for their CTE pathway programs. Details about programs and assessments can be downloaded for FY2019 and are available in draft form for FY2020.
