You called, we listened! Some updates made to WebXam include the following enhancements:

  • Graduation Year
  • User tagging
  • Easier editing of student accounts

Please continue to provide us with your feedback and other suggestions at webxam@osu.edu. We want to continue to make the system work for you.

Bulk Data Uploads Now Available

Administrators can now upload your student data for the 2019-2020 testing year utilizing the bulk upload tool. The upload template has been revised for the 2019-2020, please use the latest version. Make sure that you review your data and be sure to utilize the SSID, assign all tests needed in the pathway, and that you advance grade levels (rising juniors to senior status, for example). If you need to review the process, please visit:

Pretesting window Open

The fall pretesting window is now open and will remain open for about one month. Pretests are recognized by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) to measure student gain from beginning to end of course. CETE is offering pretests as Category C (SLO, Local Use) for this year.

Why Pretests are Important

No Pretesting for Engineering & Manufacturing

We want to remind you that there is no pretesting available for any Engineering & Manufacturing courses in the 2019-2020 school year. These new item banks will be in field testing this year. Please email us at webxam@osu.edu if you have questions regarding this.

Share Your Expertise - Be a SME!

We are going to be writing for Construction Technologies during the 2019-2020 school year. If you are an instructor for this career field in any pathway, we need you to help us write new items for new course tests. If you are interested in participating for these writing workshops, please visit http://go.osu.edu/item-writing and tell us more about yourself. Be sure to sign up today - SMEs are KEY to CETE!

CETE at ACTE Conference

The WebXam item-writing and technical support staff participated at the 2019 Connections in Education Conference in July, as part of the Ohio Association for Career and Technical Education (Ohio ACTE). We want to thank those of you we were able to meet in person at our booth and who took part in our presentation during the 3-day event. We hope to see you in 2020.

Test Security Rulebook

The start of a new school year is a great time to review policies and procedures. Be sure to familiarize yourself and any new teachers in your school with the WebXam Test Security Rulebook. Teachers and administrators who access the WebXam website to administrate or deliver tests are required to agree to the WebXam User Agreement, which includes acceptance of the revised Test Security Rulebook. Users will be prompted to confirm acceptance of these policies the first time they access WebXam each school year. The Test Security Rulebook can be found below.
